big plans....and then my computer decides to strike!

i had such hopes for today. i started off well. i had my list made up and ready to go, and i knew just what i wanted to get done.

• mow the lawn....check!
  
• edge the lawn...check!
• put connor in bed for his morning nap....check!
• print up his birthday letter.......screeeeeeeech!
  

that's where things got hairy. i ran out of paper when i was printing them last time, so i saved my letter, with the dimensions changed so i could just pop in the paper and run this time. well, air for brains me decided to try and print some envelopes. i unknowingly changed the way the paper would print by changing the way i feed the envelopes....which i never ended up printing anyway..go fig!
so now, i have no energy b/c i was tired from mowing and edging....way more job than i bargained for...and it took me two hours to figure out the dumbo letter issue. (death to pc's!) and i haven't even had time to tell all the fun stories from our family cabin trip. we've got some real winners to share so just wait until you read that post!
the rest of my list WILL be finished tonight. i am now more than ever determined that my computer will not dictate my life! i will rise above this machine!!
so here's the rest of my list.....

• clean kitchen.....we were gone for half a week and i can't believe the shape it's in
• start laundry....i am pretty sure that it's physically impossible to finish all the laundry from the trip tonight. so i'll start the most important loads and finish tomorrow
• clean bedroom....not too bad actually
• mail birthday letters.....that should be a nice walk
• get bills ready....that could cause a breakdown....stay tuned
• water flowers and spread turf builder.....should have been done this a.m. but connor woke up early from his nap
• set up sunday school schedule and meeting

and only if there's time....i'll write my post about the family cabin trip. what a hoot. that will actually be fun, so it might have to wait til tomorrow. work first, then have fun.
there it is, brenda! out there for everyone to see and ask me if i accomplished my goals. i'm taking after you.

oh yes, exciting news!!!!!!! nathan's parents are flying out to colorado the week of connor's birthday. so they are going to stop through detroit and have a party with us! we are so excited for that! can't wait you guys!
