i am definitely a person that loves nostalgia. i love history. i especially love historical buildings. i would love to live in a historical home with old stories, secrets and treasures. it would be my dream home. i love looking at old family pictures and movies. all those things... slightly random and not necessarily connected. but bear with me it's laundry day... i don't exactly exert mental energy on laundry day.
so, last night nathan was chasing connor around the house. instinctively, connor ran to his bedroom and jumped on his bed in an attempt to avoid the fierce tickle that would indubitably come his way. indubitably.... isn't that a super fun word? i loved when daffy duck would say that. anyway... like i said.... laundry day.
connor jumped up into the corner to avoid the tickle and i walked around the corner just in time to see him there with nathan reaching up to tickle. in my mind's eye i saw it... the picture of nathan's dad reaching up to tickle him as a boy. it was as if i was looking back in time. i gasped and said, "nathan! the picture!" instantly, he smiled and knew what i was thinking of... the picture of nathan's dad reaching up to tickle him in the exact same way. all he said was, "get the camera." so i snapped these. love it.
about a week ago, i was looking through some boxes and came across a picture of my sis and i when we were little. it is like looking at a picture of meg and liela... except for the fact that we both had bangs and nic and i both said our kids won't ever have those... we had a bad experience. anyway... hope you enjoy these pictures and my little walk down memory lane. i love these little jaunts.
enjoy these... remember the old ones are pictures of pictures. i don't have a scanner right now.
the original....
the cookie cutter....
clearly nathan had the advantage of bunk beds to avoid tickles.
all together now.... awwwwww.....

I enjoyed the walk down memory lane. And in case you're wondering - Aubrey won't have bangs either. :)
