connor whipped out a pretty good one today. we went over to visit aunt elaine and gramma made some lunch for us. so there we sat eating and chatting away the afternoon. somehow we got on the topic of names. connor told us his name with enthusiasm--which he loves to say lately. then he went through our family in the normal order. usually it goes like this:
and your name is christina, but i call you mommy and ava calls you aunt chrissy.
and you call daddy babe, but i call him daddy and ava calls him uncle nate.
and ava is ava 'bangeline (actually evangeline, but i love how he says it) sherf.
aunt elaine told connor that gramma had the same name as ava. so he was listening to the explanation and gramma said, "my name was susie evangeline dejarnett. isn't that awful?"
connor said, "no, you're not a waffle!" of course, we laughed, and he took it upon himself to work on some more stand up for his routine by adding, "you're a pancake! hahaha!"
he then spent at least 30 minutes on the rug with aunt elaine sorting all the blocks by color. i think he needs to hang out with her more often b/c he was actually getting them RIGHT! yeah... that's right.... for all you punks in my family that never let me forget how bad i was at colors, and remind me every time you try and get connor to say his colors. aunt elaine saved the day!

very funny! I was just over here checking when your yogurt expires :) 3 wks! I was also how the potty training was going?
we're doing ok. my lack of energy and enthusiasm about it has been the biggest deterrent. when we've had a couple days home without sickness or busy out-of-the-house errands i've been pooped. :) i think he's really got the knowledge and ability, so i'm fine with the way things have been. how's that for an apathetic preggo attitude? haha!
