a fun day with my babe

saturday was a client appreciation day for nathan's office. it was held at greenfield village and it was SUPER! they planned a great day for their guests and i had a blast too! it was a perfect chance for people to meet nathan since he hasn't met all of tony's clients yet. the food was phenomenal.....green salad, potato salad, squash, zucchini, green beans, carrots, asparagus, a delightful and not dry (amazingly) chicken, and a roast of some sort that nathan loved. i was in veggie heaven! the village has a barbershop quartet and a girls trio that entertained, and the girls at the office planned a bingo game to give away prizes. after that the park was free for the day. the rain held off just enough for us to enjoy the day and get some good pictures.
gramma tally (aka 'tally') came over to watch connor --- and yes, gramma i KNOW you did the brefix dishes and even that you DUSTED! little did you know i was saving that dust to do some experiments on alternative fuel sources. yeah.....that's it. i worked long and hard to save up that dust....but it's okay. :~)
connor had a ball playing at the park with gramma... nic and ava were up there too. he always loves seeing them. he played hard and then got some chicken nuggets from papa. papa told me that he would whistle to the birds out the window and then connor would yell, "hi, birds!" i guess that's a 2-yr-old's version of "bird calling". he got a pretty cool toy from the happy meal too, but you have to be an engineer to understand how to work it.
the luncheon finished earlier than we expected, and since gramma was planning to be there until 4-ish we decided to ride the model t's. we had never done that before, but we both wanted to try it. it was great! surprisingly spacious and comfortable. then as we were on our way out i begged to stop by the firestone farmhouse. it's a working farmhouse and one of my favorite stops in the village. nathan was such a good sport to go all the way down there....he was lugging his computer that we had used for the bingo game.
after all was said and done we had a great day out together and it was a fun way to meet the office staff and get to know them a bit more.

i forgot to mention we stopped at the hat shop and they had some hats we could try on. i picked out the biggest one i could find!

we were getting tired so we decided to just live in the farmhouse. here's nathan coming home from a hard day's work.
