what a weekend!

we had a fun filled weekend. we started off with a partially normal friday. but not really b/c it was nathan's last day of school.....forever. he and austin joked that they both graduated to jr. high. i had the girls all day and then ava came over in the evening. she and connor were SO cute. they played so well together. and ava was quite patient with her non-mobile cousin.
saturday was laura's party. WHAT A BASH!! it was a luau and i've gotta say it put some weddings to shame. kudos to my aunt elaine and uncle paul and their army of little elves. everything was great. the food, the frozen drinks, the decorations were way cool. everyone got a cool hawaiian lei, and they had little umbrellas for the drinks....it was great fun. connor wore his super cool surfboard overalls. unfortunately, i didn't have my camera, but i'm sure we can count on a copy of that pic from aunt tina. i had actually filled my memory card with pics of ace and ava from friday night. i've really got to empty my card.
