and apparently, that term isn't cool anymore…spinning. it's called indoor cycle…. this week. last week when i dropped off meg the girl at the kids klub asked where i'd be during my workout. i replied "spinning" and she looked at me with an oscar-worthy blank stare. seriously, i think i heard crickets. so, not to look like a total fool i bumbled out something like, "you know, the classroom with all the bikes." but i don't think that worked b/c she asked, "and where's that?" naturally, i assumed i was being punk'd, and so, i sheepishly glanced over my shoulders to await my "surprise! you're on camera!" moment. but they weren't there, and i still felt like an idiot for not knowing the exact terminology of the class i was about to join. so, like any self respecting 30-something i mumbled a response and pointed in the general direction of the classroom, then quickly retreated before she could ask me any more questions displaying my complete lack of gym and fitness knowledge.
the same thing has happened to me after a good swim. i get home and want to eat, and eat, and eat…. it's brutal. keeping myself away from the snacks and crackers is even more of a fight after a good hard workout. at least lately. maybe i should chug water right when i get home. that always fills me up. of course, forcing myself to drink water is not easy…. MAN! staying fit (or attempting it) is rough.

I am so with you on the eating eating eating part... I don't mind the exercise and I really feel good after wards but then I just want to eat everything in sight. My willpower and that 30-something you mentioned is killing me :-)
