oh, what a tale he can weave.....

i just spent the last 35 minutes listening to my little story teller weave the threads to his most amazing adventure yet. it was filled with exciting plot twists, adventure, laughter, creativity and imagination.

sometimes i get so overwhelmed by the activities of this life. i feel like there's a task i should be accomplishing. there's a list that has to be crossed off. there's a box of toys out that is just going to drive me crazy if i don't reorganize it and LABEL it. those aren't bad things. i will always make my lists. i will always accomplish tasks. i will continue to organize toys.

but i want to cherish those 35 minute story telling sessions. i want to remember the joy they brought when i find sharpie on my walls, chocolate chips melted into the couch or another bin of toys dumped out on the floor so the treasure hunter could find the minuscule lego man that had previously resided at the bottom.
