we went to get ice cream and a man came by with a very long white beard and connor practically yells, "hey, that guy looks like santa claus!!" the guy MUST have been deaf b/c he didn't react until i looked up sheepishly to grin at him. then he said, "what did he say? oh, wait, that i look like santa? yeah, i live at the north pole too." :~) i'm pretty sure he gets that a lot. *it was shortly after this that connor FELL OFF THE PORCH. don't ask how, i have no idea. amazingly, he was just fine.
connor wanted some apple juice. the apple juice was downstairs, and i was starting dinner and trying to get meg a bottle. i told him it would be a few minutes before i could get it. this is what happened.... wish i had his faces on video b/c it was priceless.....
connor: i can handle the apple juice job, mom.
*goes downstairs. somehow finds and carries the apple juice up the stairs. i hear this:
connor: ugh! ugh! ugh! two hands! two hands! you can do it! make it! make it! ok! ugh! here, mom! i did it!
me: connor!! i am amazed! that was a big bottle to carry up all those stairs.
*wipes his hands on his jeans, sniffs, and tries SO hard to squelch his smirk. turns and walks away like a 15-yr-old.
connor: it's a good thing i have these big muscles for that job!
i might have just posted this pic, but it seems to fits with the stuff he's been pulling lately.

Hilarious! You do a great job blogging about these adorable instances right away. I always tell myself to write Chloe's cute stuff down but so much happens in a day I forget. I hear ya' on the falling thing. Clive fell down a flight of 6 steps today AND got hit by a swinging kid and is none the worse for wear! God made these boys to be tough!
6 steps?!?!?! yikes!! poor guy. hope he got a good sleep last night to recover. :)
We just love and laugh when we read about the kids. They are so expressive and we love to hear these stories. Make sure Nate keeps track of the "events" this week-end.

yeah, it was pretty funny. i think one foot slipped off the edge and sort of slowed his fall, b/c by the time i looked up all i saw was one leg and the top of his little head dunking down. he folded right up. he was more ticked than hurt, so i was cracking up right away. it was just that kind of day, i guess.
TOOOO cute! Love that Connor! Oh. my. heart. that pic looks like someone added hair to Daniel's head, shrunk him, and then took a picture!!!!
