so here's a quick re-cap.....
meg is only about a week away from 4 months. she's sleeping......um....well enough. she's a great napper, but her nights have been awful. i knew that it would take me about three months to get into a groove with her. month one is survival mode. month two is when i usually get sick. month three is when i figure out a good schedule and we both get in sync. we're close. but we're definitely NOT there. it's been totally different from connor though. when connor was getting through his first three months it was fall/winter so we weren't out and about late, we weren't vacationing at all. but meg has to deal with summer activities and i think that has made it a little harder. plus, she's a sassy girl.
she is a non-stop talker. must have picked it up from connor b/c he's the same. she coo's and goo's at everything and everyone. she's starting to do raspberries which cracks me up. she giggles every once in a while. i love when she giggles at connor. it's so cute to see her looking up to her big brother already. she can reach for the toys that dangle from her play mat, and she kicks the toys that dangle from her bouncer. she's even found her fingers, but she's definitely not that good at controlling them. i love when she puts her hands out and tries to focus on her little fingers. then she grabs one hand with the other and tries to put them in her mouth. she's a smarty! i haven't been good enough about putting her on her tummy (poor child will take forever to flip and crawl.... just like connor). but we try to get down and play with her when i remember to do it. connor loves her so much. when anyone tries to tickle her her play with her, he wants to be a part of it. yeah, i know, it's b/c he wants attention too, but i know he really loves her b/c he will occasionally play with her or tickle her all by himself. and true to male form he's always willing and able to tell me when she's crying.
so i have some pictures of the megster, but i wanted to drop in these funnies that connor has whipped out lately.
"daddy, i need your attention." *when nathan was watching golf and not listening to a desperate little boy. :)
"meggy, i love you!" *i just love that he calls her meggy. he thought of that one on his own.
"hang loose!" *and he knows how to do the hand motion.
"daddy, how was your sleep? mine was solid."
"oh, mom i can't reach this toy. ugh! this is difficult."
"evermind." *i love that he doesn't realize there's supposed to be an 'n' at the beginning.
"mama, there's a boogey on racoons!!" *this was just yelled from his room. he got into bed for nap and wiped his nose on his favorite blanket.... which is now being washed. :)
"mom, i need a spoon so i can go paddling."
"you can do it. nuffin to it." *he says this when he's trying to go down the stairs without being afraid. his little legs can barely take the steps.
"i'm gonna go watch some television." *who says that???
love these little kiddos.
these are some videos of megan's most recent ramblings and giggles.
in this one we were trying to capture the giggle, but i think she was getting sick of being tickled and was just telling us to lay off.
but here's where we got smart and started the video right away instead of enjoying it for ourselves.

Your captions crack me up!
Simon and Meg sound so similar. Maybe our third babies will be ANGELIC at night! :)
I love your comment on Connor telling you when Meg is crying (true to male form). I'm trying to teach Luke that it's not nice to ask someone why they're crying. Not that he's ever seen me cry. :)
She's such a pretty little girl. I love all that hair!
she's so pretty.
Thank you, thank you! We needed a grandkid break!! We so miss you four, and seeing the kids here sure helps us to make it through.
Love you four,
What's with the 2nd child bad sleepers?? Sammy was/still is off and on a bad sleeper. Alex fooled me into thinking all my kids would sleep like angels!! And don't feel bad--we call Sam the exact same thing: our poor neglected 2nd child. But we also call Alex our Guinea Pig child. Who's worse off? I guess only time will tell!! That's the breaks, kids!!
