my funny guy.....

kids say things at the best times. i love when connor just whips out some phrase or statement at just the right time to crack me up.

a few weeks back we were going up to old navy and tj maxx to use up some gift cards. as we pulled in, it was obvious that someone had been shoplifting...... the hill is a notorious spot for shoplifters. we walked up from the cars and the cop car was parked in front of tj maxx so nathan wanted to teach connor a lesson about stealing. he took connor over near the car and said, "connor, that lady is going to jail. that's what happens when you steal things." i'm not sure the lesson had any effect b/c connor waved and yelled to the woman, "have fun at jail!!!"

not long ago my high school class had our 10 year reunion. yeah, if that doesn't make you feel old enough.... anywho..... we knew connor would be meeting bunches of new people so nathan taught him to shake hands and say, "nice to meet you." i think he got a little kick out of people's reaction....which is NOT what we were going for, btw. so he says it with much gusto lately. we were at the park for my dad's race and my dad was introducing/showing off connor to some of the other paddlers. connor of course shook one guy's hand and enthusiastically said, "nice to meet you!" the guy was shocked and his face was one of total surpise. so my dad said, "and now we have some insurance we'd like to sell you!" it was pretty funny the way it came out.

i bumped into connor .... ok, that happens all the time b/c he's ALWAYS in the kitchen when i'm trying to cook.... i said, "oh, i'm sorry buddy. i didn't mean to squish you." his reply was, "not a problem at all." i did not know what to do with that.

he is constantly asking us, "hey, guys, do you have a good idea?" we aren't sure what he means by that. so we've been trying to get him to explain or just stop saying it. the other night he was getting ready for bed and he looks at me and says, "mom, i have a good idea....... go.... to.... bed." that's one thing i can say about connor. he knows when he's tired and he will go right to bed.

i started typing this a while ago and i had tons of funny things running through my brain. well, they're gone now. such is a sleep deprived life.

david came over to help me write some skits for my grandparents anniversary party so we snagged a pic with him and megs. i think this is the first one of them.

the spit-up queen. seriously, i don't know how she gains weight. she spits ALL the time!

connor decided my head band would be a great rambo head band.

kissing his guns.

The picture of Connor with David is especially good! Tell the truth - was it David or Daddy that taught him to kiss his guns? That seems like something either of them might do! ha ha! He's just toooo cute!

Too funny...about the 'do you have an idea' Infinity always says 'I have an idea guys...' and then proceeds to tell us that it is. I think this is off of a cartoon (disney channel) that she watches?!?! Maybe this is where he gets it too :o) I love the funny things kids say!!
