i woke up a lot last night, and i've never slept so well in my entire life. i know that doesn't seem to make sense. it's true. i woke up bunches of times and i can honestly say, i feel like when i did actually sleep i was sleeping on a fluffy cloud! the bed is fabulous, the room is superb--nathan finagled a king suite for us on the executive level. i didn't know what that meant either. well, for one thing, it means you have to use your room key to get to your floor. it means you have a private lounge to relax and eat a wonderful brefix, or just hang out with the fam.
i have always loved the excitement of staying at a hotel. any hotel. when we would drive to florida with my fam we would occasionally stay overnight on the way down. it was such a fun deal to us. my parents would order pizza, we would watch tv and just have fun. even if it was a cheesy teeny room, it was such a cool thing. so when we planned to come down this year, we knew we would have to stay at a hotel. this was good enough news for me b/c i love the fun of hotels so much.... people make your bed for you, clean white towels, tiny soaps, continental brefix.... all that good stuff just makes it an adventure. when i heard nathan say we were going to stay at the hilton for less than the holiday inn i was ecstatic! this has been the coolest hotel stay ever.
