the village

here are some pics from our trip to the village. the kids were so cute running from house to house. i think connor even enjoyed it. exept for the covered bridge. he was a little unsure of the cracks in the boards. he's weird about cracks....even the ones in cement. weirdo.

inside the ford home they had some small toys the kids could play with.... connor and huddy were loving the blocks.

sibling love.... she's lucky she didn't get a noogie. nah, he's much more mature now. she's lucky she didn't get a wet willie.

hudson was stylin' a newsie hat.

connor almost walked out with one of these babies.

models in the making

i was next to faith on the carosel.... probably why she's the only one i got a good picture of. :)

i know you can't really tell, but just imagine nathan bouncing opposite the horse. the horse goes up nathan goes down.... and all with this goofy look on his face.

i've almost got everyone.... aiden is behind nathan's head.

the cousins

snack time.
that's right boys. if you're good and say please, maybe you'll get seconds.

such an educational place. yeah, that's why i go.

connor was actually interested in what was going on....
and no, i don't know the little girl that smiled for the shot.

i love this bridge.... it's connor's arch nemesis

the train is cool, mom!

ok, dad, stick a fork in me. i'm done.

I've heard so much about that place lately! What a great fun and educational outing. Is it very expensive? Looks incredibly hands-on for kids.

Looks like you all truly enjoyed the Hairgrove family weekend. What a treat! Does Connor remember his cousins well?

yes, it's a great outing. fairly expensive, but since we live close someone in my family has always had a membership, so we always get in for free. i just looked it up online though and found out that it's a whopping $20 to get into the village. the museum is slightly cheaper and a great winter activity.

connor surprisingly remembers all of them. he mixes up the names occasionally, but he's pretty good at it. he does know they are his friends, and he loves playing with them.

If you ever need in, let me know - I have a "companion pass" so I can get in one other person - not SUPER helpful, but hey, it's another person who gets in for free! Also - - - you really should check into the "educator's pass" and packages - - - seriously! Because of your coaching, you totally qualify! You can even get into some of the IMAX stuff for free on "educator preview" days!!! You and Nathan would both qualify and then you could BOTH go! :) Wow - aren't you glad you have a friend who is such a treasure-trove of knowledge?!?! :)
