meet the fam

well, sort of. not all of them... not even close. today (since it was rainy and humid and roasty toasty outside) the little man and i pulled out some little people. we played for hours, and he loved it. by the end of the night, driving the car around the rug got old for me and i started asking connor random questions. i held up a figure and said, "connor, who is this guy?" he replied without thinking, "grampa." i kept picking up people and asking him who it was. he was cracking me up telling me who they were b/c they really fit well. so here they are.... meet the fam.

this is grampa and bb. i can see the mustache, but bb as a red haired pilot? hmmm?

here's laura and aunt elaine. laura is in culinary school, so i get the apple. the blond makes sense for aunt elaine, despite the fact that this is actually a boy. and maybe she was cleaning the pool and found this frog. hmmm? she does clean a lot, so the brush makes sense.

this one contains a few dorans. we start on the left with aunt claudia. yes, this is another boy, but connor mentioned the glasses quite a few times. aunt claudia always wears stylin' glasses. the pirate is dillon. 'nuf said. the prehistoric girl is also aunt claudia. i tried to tell connor that he already picked an aunt claudia but he was convinced. the firefighter is derek.... or as connor calls him, drake. i didn't know derek had a 'stache.

believe it or not this construction worker is gramma susie. i was pretty much rolling when connor picked this one out. it's the farthest from true. uncle paul should appreciate this the most.

and here we have ava on the left and aunt nic on the right. the best part is that when aunt elaine bought connor his christmas present she told me she picked this girl b/c she looked like ava and the boy that comes with her looked like connor. apparently not that much like connor b/c that's the boy that he called aunt claudia above.

i'm sure tomorrow they'll have new names, but i didn't want to forget this time. it was too funny to pass up.
