well, maybe there's one "not-so" mr. fix-it. but that's probably b/c he spent 10 or so years in dental school. i've been having headaches lately, and i thought maybe it was my wisdom teeth again. the little boogers came in totally sideways meaning: they should come out, but my uncle couldn't do it b/c it would have to be surgical....stink-o-rama! but when the headaches were reminiscent of the first time the teeth bothered me, i gave him a call anyway. after nathan got home from work i ran over to the office for a quick look see. he wanted to see if anything was infected which could have been causing pressure leading to the headaches. everything looked cool for the teeth, so he was analyzing my headaches to see if he could be of any assistance. when i described it he said it sounded like a stress headache. "let's think about all that's going on in your life right now....you've got nathan changing jobs, you've got a little guy running around getting into everything...there's a lot going on." i saw this as a perfect opportunity and sarcastically looked over at his assistant and said, "see, he's not JUST a dentist." then i proceeded to rip him about not being a real doctor and compared him to a podiatrist. if you've ever been in that office you know that if you can dish it, he can take it. so after a bit of joking around, i was off..motrin in hand to face my crazy world of stress... even though i don't feel stressed.
i came home to a lovely surprise. nathan was giving the little man a nice trim on his new big boy haircut. he really has prefected it this time. i have dubbed it "the dillon" b/c it reminds me of dill-meister's hair.
not much news here on the homefront. connor is being a typical very-close-to-two-year-old. he is into everything and copies EVERYTHING. if the girls are coloring, connor begs, "color? color?" if the girls are reading on the couch, connor gets his little stool, pulls it over to the couch and climbs up to read with them. which gets boring after two minutes so he climbs all over them like an obstacle course. he will rarely be seen without a ball in his hands, or at least five on the floor around him. he's getting some big time chompers right now, which makes him drool monster again, and i believe has affected his appetite...but i can't prove that. if he's not talking, he's singing. he loves to sing "jesus loves me" and "the b-i-b-l-e" and i don't think his mouth stops for more than five minutes a day. he got his first big boy knee scrape tuesday. we were outside grilling dinner and he took a pretty big digger running for a ball. he slowly realized he was hurt and screamed a big old scream, but about five seconds later was begging to get down. i thought he gave me a black eye on tuesday. i was getting ready to leave him with nic and bent down to get a little smooch. connor hasn't yet contained the force behind his melon. he came in for a landing and smacked me square on the cheekbone with his massive dome. let me tell ya....that boy is solid. he didn't even flinch and i was reduced to a pile of whimpering rubble. he seriously hit me hard! nicole just laughed at me and i said, "i think i'm gonna have a black eye!" it was all red and i looked super dorky, but it was really funny after the initial shock wore off. and thankfully, no bruise. well, no visible bruise. that night i was feeling it and found the "sweet spot"....ouchie va vava!
nathan has been working diligently on trying to fix our lawn mower. i sort of think i killed it last summer when i accidentally, through no fault of my own!, put the mixed gas in the tank. he's done everything he can think of. so for now, we're in the market for a new mower. or maybe i'll just borrow mike and nic's for a few months. :)

i know just what to do, dad. i watched handy manny this morning.

i know he has cheesy eyes, but i just loved this hoodie i found at old navy for him. it has a little soccer ball on the front.

can you tell i didn't see the camera? nathan snuck up on us...but "cheese-mania" spotted him right away.

Glad to see some photos of you with Connor! That's a switch. I have hardly any photos with Chloe because I'm always the one snapping the shots. Did the motrin work on your headaches? Chloe's head is pretty massive too - I bet her head is bigger than Connor's. If we ever get together we'll have to compare head sizes. :) She whacked me on the collarbone with her noodle one time and it literally knocked the wind out of me. It's just all those huge brain cells filling up our little ones' heads. We've got geniuses on our hands!
alicia-
i know, i feel like i've been viewing his first two years through the lense of our camera! :~) motrin is working so far...but i can't say for sure b/c believe it or not, i haven't had a bad headache for two days. but that's a good thing.
and yes, they're definitely baby geniuses! :~) even if they do have big domes.
I also am glad to see a picture of a mom - you look great, are you sure you didn't know he was going to take your picture!? :)
