apparently, he had gone a different way to work this morning.....which just goes to show how God orders every step, b/c if he had gone his normal way, it could have been much worse. he drove through dunkin to get a coffee and got on the freeway. when we get low on gas the light usually goes on pretty early b/c of our driveway. we park on an angle that affects the sensor to the gas level. usually you just go a few minutes down the road and you can see how much gas is really left. the light stayed on the whole way to the freeway, so nathan decided to stop at the next exit to fill up. as he was exiting, everything stopped. "it didn't even sputter!" he told me. so he had to push the car to the gas station. thankfully it is fairly close off the exit, and thankfully, this freeway isn't as hectic as the other way to work. i am very thankful that the Lord kept him safe during that crazy time of driving. (if you've ever driven in the metro detroit area in the morning you know what i mean.)
i pretty much spent my day snuggling the little man since he wasn't feeling so hot. he's just snuff'ed up. which i completely blame as the culprit of his puking sunday night. he has such a weird gag reflex. last night he got all worked up (b/c of a "sp...ecific discipline"...not from me for once! :) and he started coughing and gagged again. nathan was totally grossed out and i'm pretty sure he rethought our discipline standards for a minute.......only a minute.
things are just going here. so i'll leave you with a few cute pics from the past weeks.

i was in the office and spotted him sitting watching 'handy manny'. i love how his hands are folded. :)

such cute pictures! Nate told us about the discipline and reminded him of the statement, "Son, this hurts me more than it hurts you. Yes, now I understand that Dad!"
Hugs to Ace. Love you all
