last night was pottery with the ladies from my mom's church. mike and ava had a date at nana sherf's and nic and i took connor out to hang with grampa while the girls went out on the town. we dropped connor off and piled into my mom's car headed for wyandotte. i love wyandotte. it's so quaint. the coffee shops, the cute stores, and the pottery place we go to every year or so. we couldn't remember exactly where it was, so i took a wild guess from my last year's memory bank.....hey, i knew we parked in a lot at the end of the block that the place is on. how was i supposed to know there were identical lots on two adjacent blocks?? what are the odds? so mom and nicole verbally thrashed me the rest of the way to the pottery place. we had a great time. i'm sure we shocked the system of some of the ladies that aren't familiar with our antics and crazy chatter. but julie, carol, and kim know us all too well. they are a great group of ladies that always make you feel welcome. you can be yourself and know that they won't call you stupid...unless you're being stupid and then you just deserve it. HA no, i kid, i kid.
connor had a great time playing with grampa. they yelled and wrestled, threw toys, ate some jello and then fell asleep. when we came in, connor was zonked out in grampa's arms. poor little fella was tuckered right out.
today we started right out of the shoot. gramma tally came over to watch ace and ava, and nic and i went to aunt claudia's with aunt tina for a fun girl spa morning. it was delightfully relaxing. we did a hand scrub and phenominal lotion, warm stress relieving neck wrap, foot lotion and warmed spa socks, lip mask, cooling eye pads, and my all time fave.....the head scratchy massager thingy. OH MY WORD! i love those things. plus, bonus....we got to see davy! he came home for the soccer game. (apparently, state finals count for "emergency cuts" :)
then we went back to my house for lunch and b/c....drumroll....2 of 3 sherflets came over today!! nic was going to watch them, but wasn't sure of the time frame for going up north, so i was going to watch them if needed....yeah! it was so fun! nic and ava weren't leaving for the cabin so they stayed and played too. it was a blast. the kids just crawled around and had EVERY toy possible out. i loved it. connor loved having friends over too. especially bastian....he doesn't always get to play with boys so that was a real treat. if you ever read adrianna's blog or just chat with her at church, you might think that having triplets is something easy to adapt to.....oh, no my friend! she's just amazing. there's no way i would have an ounce of sanity left. and don't think it's b/c the kids are crazy. they were SO calm and well behaved. even their cries were cute and tiny. (don't worry adrianna, they only cried a little when i changed them). there's just a whole special place in my mommy heart for her now.
so tomorrow nathan comes home and the boys are in state finals. go get 'em guys. and babe, we'll see ya in the morning!
nicole made a christmas ornament for each person in her family, my mom made a cute watermelon latte mug, and i really branched out this time.....i traced squares. last time it was circles, so i think i've really expanded my artistic horizon.
one little lump of tired
since it was 'spa' morning, nic suggested we wear our robes. (we got matching robes b/c when nic worked at linens-n-things someone spilled coffee on them. i dare ya to find the coffee. it's miniscule, but still they couldn't sell them...yeah for us!)

Hey christina ya gotta come here and get a massage and facial. it is 24 kwai...which means 3 dollars US for an hour and half for the back and hour and half for the face. AHHHHH what a treat. I am trying to hit it each week...it is my ladies day away. come on over and we will continue that pampering :)

Looks like fun. I need a facial right now. Luke got that virus that Connor had - the one that comes with sores all over the mouth, free of charge. Luke hasn't eaten since Friday, so I'm hoping they're almost to the end of their course. The Dr. is also treating him for strep throat. You should see me know, filthy glasses on, pajama pants with medicine spilled all over them. Lovely. Well, you have fun in FL! :)
Sounds like a blast! We went on spa day with my mom, aunts, cousin and sister and my mom got a little too happy with the camera, but it so fun to have fam around to cruise the town with!

yeah, that's why i tried to maintain control of the camera. but when my eyes were covered my aunt got me....oh, well, at least i wasn't wearing a facial mask. hope you guys had fun in florida. we are here now and loving it!
Can I TELL you how mad I am at Gilmore Girls?! Seriously. They're killing me. I still maintain that they can't marry off Lorelei & Chris because then the whole who-loves-who mess will be settled, and they can't do that. They just can't. :) Have fun in FL.

i am SO with you!! i was ticked last night. i really was leaning toward christopher after the last few shows, but last night i felt so bad for luke. then lorelei just straight ticked me off. (when she was acting like a high schooler at the lecture.) she's a real wack job sometimes. i think luke and christopher can do better w/o her! needless to say, i'm hooked for this season!
