ace and megan: i LOVE the holidays!

it's the most wonderful time of the year...... i guess it's the childlike excitement that i always think is gone. every year i think back to my childhood days.....the anticipation of the holiday season. not just christmas.... everything. thanksgiving, bowling, cutting down trees, christmas, new years.....all in that order. (yes, we go bowling every thanksgiving). it's just so exciting. i always think that the excitement might be lost b/c i'm getting older, but then i break out the christmas tunes and it all comes back to me. i LOVE it!

well, this year i have one more super exciting thing to look forward to.....white christmas at the fox......TONIGHT! i am pumped. my parents gave me some "fun cash" the other day so i went out and got some new pants and a super cute jacket for the evening. connor will be spending the night at grampa and granny b's......can you say sweet freedom? a whole night out. no curfew. no "we have to hurry home to get connor to bed." we might even go out for coffee after the show. ok, sensitive sally? you know every mother loves and will miss her baby, but let's get real girls....who doesn't want a night of total freedom and fun? that's right, i said it and i stand by it.

then tomorrow morning bright and early connor and daddy are going to run the turkey trot downtown. that's gonna be one bundled baby boy.

so nathan flew down south monday morning and connor and i got busy. we had to get the bills out, shop for christmas presents, do some laundry. oh, yeah, did i mention connor emptied the entire contents of the lower shelf of his armoire? this seems to be a rite of passage for most small children. at some time they completely dump something all over the floor. cupboards, drawers...these are all fair game.

then yesterday, we went over to gramma sanders to help get a few things ready for thanksgiving, and put up her christmas tree. today, daddy came home and we are just hanging out until it's time for the fun to start.
