this time of year always makes me feel nostalgic. the air, the leaves, jeans and sweaters, the pumpkin pie....ahhhh! it's just got that feel good hometown feeling. don't ya think? i was telling nathan the other day that as you drive down allen road you see lots of "go tigers" signs on local businesses. it makes even motown feel like a small town. like we're all rooting for our local boys to bring home the trophy....sort of feels like a small town in texas rooting for the high school boys football team. ok, so maybe that's just how i see it. but it would be nice, right? small townish.
maybe it was that small town feeling that duped me last night. i was sucked into a whirling vortex of deception. perfectly timed and well executed. a dear friend, we'll call her "brenda"...just for kicks...called me just before the start of gilmore. she was distraught and in need of serious counsel.....yeah, i know, that's what should have tipped me off. the fact that she called ME! who calls me for advice? no one...and with good reason! "brenda" started unwinding this sob story over the phone and i thought, "hmmm.... gilmore.... "brenda"..... gilmore..... "brenda"..... of course not! i was not weighing my options... how bad do you think i am?? watch it....i know where you live! so i asked, "do you want to come over?" at that point i was FREAKING OUT! what if she says yes! what am i going to tell her?? i have no clue! i'm not qualified for this?? but alas, i had offered and she was coming.
BUT...........
then she came clean and told me that it was a joke and she was being such a brat. she had read my blog and knew that i LOVED watching gilmore and pulled the all time best prank on me EVER!! i was cracking up!! i could not believe the acting skills that "brenda" had. she was TOTALLY believable!! well, needless to say she and i had a good laugh and she let me go watch my show.....which was (i thought) a very disturbing ending.....sus, back me up here....where is this show GOING?? i'll be glad when house is back on. then if i get ticked at lorelai i can change the channel.
to quote nathan, "oh, this game is ON!" payback is his specialty. :)
so that was my last night excitement. today was pretty blah. rainy, a little cold and we were on house restriction. connor is still in his "contagious" stage until tomorrow. the antibiotics are helping already though so that's good.
connor is getting vvvvvvvery good at climbing the stairs. he still won't walk though. little booger. i've been standing him up and trying to get him to take steps.....oh no.....he won't. he just plops onto his knees.

i hate to put it out there this way, but it seems that connor is accademically more advanced than ava. you'll note their choice of books. connor's is practically a chapter book. ah well, bless her heart.

Lorelei & Chris will be together this season. She will then reconsider that traveling hotel job that she was offered back when she first started dating Luke. She will then realize that her heart belongs in Stars Hollow with Luke. Even though Chris is a nice guy, he's just not Luke. (That's how I rectify the situation in my head.) I still laugh though, when I think of Paris' line: "Do you see any of these students falling in love with me? No. You know why? Because you don't fall in love with someone who makes you crap your pants." It's just so.....Paris.

there are some days that i think that too...mostly he makes "derek" faces. remember when derek had that cute curly hair! loved it!!
See I don't know. I think they'll eventually put Luke & Lorelai together, but they are making me like Christopher with her. The plot thickens...
I have absolutely no idea what the actual plot line is. I just tell myself the afore mentioned scenerio to keep myself from going crazy. At least Dean and Jess are out of Rory's life. Those are some relationships that I'm glad are over.

Just a quick comment on the fun, enjoyable, happy, no-harm-done prank your friend "Brenda" pulled on you. She sounds like a fun-loving, nice, thoughtful person (after all, she DID let you go in time for Ace to do his dance!), so if it were ME, I would simply love this "Brenda" in return, be extra nice to her, and never, ever seek revenge...... Good, I'm glad that's what you've chosen to do! I KNEW you would do the right thing!!
