today is my parent's anniversary. in my mind there is no better example of God's goodness, protection, control, and grace. they were super young when they got started, and as we all know, kids are stupid. kids running a family....well, you get the idea. i don't have any "we had it so bad" stories b/c my parents never let us see that. we just knew they loved us. we never were mad that we didn't have an absolutely huge house, or go on super extravagent vacations....i think b/c we loved it that we hung out together. we went to the cabin, we rode bikes all over downriver, we played basketball, we went to the park. family was important. and family sticks together. that's one thing we learned. work hard and thank God for His protection and goodness. it is only because of Him.
my parents have grown in their love for God and for each other. i pray the same for my marriage.

I am asking all that for our home as well. I am hoping to stick together...and the kids not see their mom fallin apart. Thanks for reminding us it is possible.
