big praise!

as you know, nathan has been studying for his licensing tests. he took the class, bought the books, even bought the cd and downloaded it to his ipod to listen during dead time at work. well, he turned in his paperwork about 3-4 weeks ago. he should have recieved notice back within a week. then he would have his registration number and be able to finish all of the applications just to take the test.....yeah, it's that complicated.
so we waited, and prayed, and waited, and prayed....yada yada.....still waiting.
starting to worry. DUH! shouldn't worry!

• prov. 27:1--do not boast about tomorrow for you do not know what a day may bring forth.
• matt. 6:34--therefore do not be anxious for tomorrow; for tomorrow will care for itself. each day has enough trouble of its own.
  

had a great reminder of this sunday. i was so thankful for God's timing in that message.
so today, we were talking about not having the number yet, and of course, getting concerned about it again. did we make the wrong decision? should we go another way? then i remembered that message. what an idiot! how quickly i forgot that lesson. so then, of course, our conversation turned to how we needed to accept God's timing even though it seemed impossible.
nathan went out to run some errands and soon called me. "you're not going to believe this..." what a blessing! we so often forget that we are not ordering our own steps.
so now, nathan is up at the office making sure he has crossed every t and dotted every i. he should be able to take his first test in a few short weeks.......that is, unless the Lord needs to teach us once again that He is in control, not us. thankfully!

so thanks to all who are praying....please don't stop! the test is a beast, and i've heard it is rare to pass on the first try. but hey, with God, anything is possible!
i know He will provide what we need.
