SOLD!

yes, red is gone. she sold this morning and we are so thankful! this will help greatly with nathan's testing fees and licensing. we are all exhausted. nicole and i made out like bandits and we still have tons of junk left over to give away. we saved some of our trinkets in nicole's garage (she has a great bunch of cabinets set aside for garage sale fodder). nicole sold the most hiddeous smelling fridge in all the world. she had it listed for $20 and then we opened the doors, took one whiff and knocked the price to $10. she made a good bit of cash and i made a little over $70. considering i barely sold anyting over 50 cents, i did extremely well. i was quite pleased. so monday i'll call purple heart and get them to pick up the rest.
nathan and mike were with us today. that was so much of a help. jackson spent the day in our backyard b/c he tends to spaz out when people are out in the yard with him.
when we got home we had dinner, and then decided that connor was in desperate need of a haircut. at first we had him in his travel high chair strapped to a stool. he was playing with a few toys and i was trying to keep his attention and help hold him steady. yeah, right! at one point nathan had him in a head lock. finally, we scooted him over to the sink, filled it with water and let him splash away. that kept him busy and looking down enough for nathan to finish. this was his first time to get the buzzers. i thought it might freak him out, but he seemed to like it. almost like it tickled him or something.
a good day overall. and it ended with the gaither gospel hour. we've discovered that connor inherited more than his cowlick from grampa wheeler. he also got grampa's love of gospel music. we were flipping channels one night, and connor was--as usual--talking up a storm and facing away from the tv. nathan likes to stop on the gospel hour sometimes to hear an oldie but a goodie. as soon as connor heard the music he stopped, turned, and didn't say a peep for the rest of the show. he would only talk during commercial breaks. it is just too cute. so tonight after bath, i turned it on and we danced a little before bedtime. he just loved it.

even though during this picture he was actually distracted by the 'saved by the bell' theme song, this is what he looks like when the gaithers come on tv.....really any music will do this, but i just thought it was cute.

here he's practicing to join the gaither choir. all the while practicing for his upcoming roll as linus in the nursery rendition of 'a charlie brown christmas'.
