today is nathan's 26th birthday!! connor and i would like to tell you how much we love our daddy/hubby. nathan is at work right now (at one of his many jobs). he works very hard to provide for us. he doesn't care what he has to do.....teaching, painting, building, cleaning golf clubs, mowing grass, cutting bushes, ref'ing soccer, working sports camps, you name it he's done it! and he still finds time to hang out with us...especially wrestling with connor, he loves to do that! he's done TONS of work on our house which i mentioned
before. he's not perfect...and he doesn't pretend to be...but he does his best to obey God and follow His plan. my favorite times are when we read Bible stories and pray with connor. i love that my husband wants his family to know God. i love that he comes home from church and tells me what he learned, and how it's causing him to grow. i love that he admits his dependence on God for his life and ours. flat out, i just love him. i love that connor already loves him so much....when he comes home from work, connor's face gets so excited. i think he even recognizes the 'daddy song' that plays on my phone when nathan calls. he perks right up. nathan is only working a 1/2 day today, so i've got to get moving to finish his birthday surprise....well sort of surprise. we had some store credit at home depot so we bought some paint for our front door and some plants for the back yard. i'm almost finished with the paint (pics to come) and the backyard is next on my list. nathan loves to paint and work around the house, but this summer his time is very precious. so i decided to paint the door and do all the yard work so he can relax when he gets home and then hit the books. but don't oooh and aaah so quickly...my motives are tainted.....i would
so rather be outside than doing laundry. :)
