the speed of light

it seems like that's how fast connor has grown. as i was uploading some pictures today to order prints, i couldn't believe the vast changes that have taken place in the past 8 1/2 mos. babies change SO much and SO fast! i am amazed at just exactly how "fearfully and wonderfully made" they are.
at 8 1/2 mos. connor can:

• hold his own bottle
• drink juice from a sippy cup
• feed himself dry snacks...and no longer chokes on them
• he (unfortunately) discovered how to put his finger up his nose. it slips right in when it's covered in peas!! monster child!
• rolls over (only one way--belly to back--he's lazy as ever)
• holds up his upper body and 'scoots' everywhere...backwards (hopefully crawling is coming soon!)
• sits up by himself to play with toys in front of him...until they get away. then he just looks at his fingers
• says, 'dada'....or at least what really sounds like it. (funny note: today nathan called and i said, "hey, babe" and connor 'said', "hi, dada" it fit perfectly!! :)
• has figured out how to turn on his ocean wonders aquarium. and figured out how to make the little octopus play a song by pulling on the crab attached.....which i heard at 4 am when ace woke up and decided it was time to play mom and dad a song over the monitor

and i'm sure a hundred other things that i find amazingly cute. no he's not a child prodigy, or a genius but he's ours and we are very thankful for him and amazed daily at how God has created his little mind to work.
