let the destruction begin!

here are a few pics of nathan's handiwork thus far. i put this older picture of nathan and his dad with ace to show the porch (and you can see part of the awning too). the steps of the porch had completely broken. the centers of each step were gone. not cool. so tomorrow nathan and his friend brent (accompanied by his wife hanni) will be putting the block down for the porch and hopefully *fingers crossed* we'll be able to pour the top slab asap.

these steps looked like u's before nathan chopped them up.
hard working daddy. connor and i had the hard job of going to get the building permit. btw, allen park city offices need a serious make-over! can you say, "hello eighties!"
our old hiddeous awning. we thought about painting it and just putting it back up, but nathan's going to take it to the scrap yard and use the money to re-side the front window.

our naked litte house. it looks so different with no ginormo awning. the awning over the small window is gone too. but after the porch is done i'll be able to work on my flower bed to spruce up the front.

this is the previous home of the huge lip in our backyard. nathan chopped this out in just a few hours. my macho man!

tomorrow: pics of a semi finished new porch!! yeah! (i hope and pray!!:)
