I HAVE THE POWER!
i can already tell that connor will be the same way. his eyes were red and droopy today. poor little guy. but this is the magic power that my mom held over me. now i will be able to say, "get dressed. you're going to school!" and the dreaded, "do you have a test today that i don't know about?" the magic powers are finally mine!
and yes, i've already come to grips with the fact that i am becoming my mother (and father) in many areas of my life. sometimes i'll say something and nathan will say, "thank you, brenda!" but i always wait for the "jerry-ism" to come flying out soon after and then i say, "ladies and gentlemen...JERRY HAIRGROVE!" then we both groan and die of laughter.
isn't it true though? you say something and just as you hear yourself, strangely, you also hear another voice. and it's your mother! but that couldn't be your mother...you said it. what's happening. IT'S happening. you've become your mother. i'm just glad i can say it with pride. i have a great mom and if there's anyone i don't mind "becoming" in a human sense it's definitely her.
i truly do think it's funny though to notice all of the little things that i do just like my parents. cracks me right up. and then it freaks me out b/c connor is already mimicking things. granted it's only my mouth motions and shaking his head, but yikes!

Such cute pictures, Christina. Your post cracked me up; it's so true how much like our mothers we become! But, I'm like you; I have a great mom and would be thankful to be like her (expcept for a few minor things of course! :-)) You better be careful about being too much like your dad though. :) hee hee
Christina it is so nice to find you again. The blogging world is amazing. I have "found" or should I say 5 different people have "found" me all because of my blog. You have an adorable little boy. Keep in touch.
