we just got back from one of our best up north trips ever... maybe i'll tell you about it later, but right now, i am looking down at my girl and i can't help but smile. talking to meggie is one of my all-time favorite things to do. for the past 6 months it was like i was playing a non-st0p game of mad gab... which i LOVE. but now that she can enunciate more and more words it's just flat out funny! i love hearing her chatter throughout the day. she talks to her baby. she talks to the tv. she talks to the toilet. she talks to her stickers. pretty much anything that doesn't run away from her.
here are some of my favorites that i don't want to forget:
mama, look! meggie happy now! *this usually comes after an attitude adjustment and me telling her to change her face*
ooohhh! mama! look ith pink! my fave-it... i love pink, mama.
*when connor comes in* hey, bud.
sanks, mama. you're welcome, mama.
connor, i 'give you. *when she oh, so graciously extends forgiveness for his most recent wrongdoing.*
ooh, mama... thith very yummy, mama. i love it.
ith a-byoo-ful, mama. ooh, i love a-byoo-ful.
daddy handsome, connor handsome, meggie a-byoo-ful, mommy a-byoo-ful.
*when given the chance to pick anything*....ummmmmm..... i waaaaaaaant...... ummmmmm..... i piiiiick...... thith one! i pick the pink one, mama. *i will pass out the day she picks anything but pink... and yet, the elaborate deliberations continue.
*when eating a sandwich* mama, can i rip it? can i open it? *she is bound and determined to do everything her own way.*
*which leads perfectly into this* i do it, mama.... meggie do it by ny-self.
*unless she's in a mood and then she says,* mama! i need some help! hold me. mama, i want you.
*but she's always up for a ride in the stroller* ooh, i love my 'toller! *she has a tendency to knock the 's' off the front of some words, replace it with 'th' in others, but she uses it frequently enough for me to find it cute and not concerning.
mama, you my beth buddy forever.
this is one of my favorite stages. i want to enjoy every minute of it. even when she's driving me crazy.

We love that hand on the hip! She looks so grown up on the ladder shot. Her smile is still a million $ one!!
