saturday we went to my parents house for a picnic and ended up destroying half of the house. i'm exaggerating of course, but the most unbelievable and ridiculous things happened. and i'm a FREAK about using my parents house and making sure it's all put back the way i think it was in the first place. we busted up an umbrella.... i must not have put the dumb thing in the base right b/c a gust of wind blew in on nathan's mom and snapped one of the supports. who knows .... it was colossally stupid and ticked me off in a big way. what a dumb thing, ya know? then we were headed out on the boat and heard a thud..... the propeller fell off. WHAT??? oh, and this was after we had to have my dad come out and fix the battery b/c there was some sort of electrical glitch. even though all of those dumbo freak of nature what in the world things happened we had a fun time and my parents haven't disowned me as of yet. of course, we may never be invited over to their house again, and nicole has once again recaptured the most coveted position of "favorite daughter".

from our visit with the oskeys.... hanni and i were saying there's gotta be a picture just like this somewhere.... just rewind about 15 years.

this was about 9:30p when connor had his meltdown and we knew it was getting time to head home. he had already freaked out about the dog... yes, he's my son! but he did warm up to it....sort of.

thanks to all you blog stalkers that were asking if connor got his mower.... he sure did! and we already put him to work.

connor has been getting presents every day. yeah, that shouldn't spoil him or anything. :) i just loved his excitement in this shot.

thankfully, the prop fell off close to the dock. not so thankfully, the prop fell off. i'm sure my dad will appreciate this picture. maybe not today, but someday.

how 'bout a little baby bling to melt away all your cares? carol, the sales lady would have enjoyed knowing the real purpose of this watch.
the kids were catching fish left and right. connor and hudson were running from one end of the yard to the other. there was no purpose in their running. they were just running for the sake of running and being boys. screaming at the top of their lungs, filthy dirty, throwing rocks and having a blast.
we had tons of food, thanks to aunt elaine and the leftovers from josh's party....... score!
today we went to church and connor was thrilled to welcome hudson into his class. another boy is always a welcomed change.
steven and christy hung out all day today and got to stay later b/c of the wicked storm that blew through.... they waited until they knew it would be a bit better for driving. so it was nice to have them around for these two days.
i'll hit you with some pics b/c i'm wasted and tomorrow is my cleaning day. i'm gonna need to get to bed soon or i won't be cleaning anything.... i'll be sleeping.
poppa jo-g, you can hold her, too. i'll just stand here and cheese.

I am going to get this picture and show it to the saleslady when I get back there....maybe she will give me a discount for future purchases...you know so Nathan can have one in every color, shape and size.
glad you didn't put it on her ankle
nicole-
if you will recall a certain "truck incident". so, yes, you may have it now, but don't fool yourself into thinking that i didn't, until recent events, control it.... if only for that brief shining moment... oh, yes, it was mine.
carol-
if it was onl her ankle she would have looked like a criminal under house arrest. that sucker is ginormous. :)
Love Gramma Jo-G's new 'do! Cute! I had to laugh - in the previous post when Connor was mowing with a "non-mower" he was in the grass - now that he has a mower he's on the driveway?!?! :) Looks like a fun time was had by all! :)I should bring over my new triple strand of pearls to get yet another pic for the nice lady in the rice fields!!
Looks like you had a great time with all the fam. We just did the same thing. A nice little break - everyone wants a piece of your kids!!
