another snow day

this morning we woke up to a pounding of snow. it was a snow day for pretty much all the schools around here, so we called bb and asked her if she wanted to come play in the snow. she was going to go over to gramma sanders house to help her with some computer stuff, so we asked if we could tag along to go see her and aunt elaine too. what a crack up time we had. first, we made a snowman.....ok, well, everyone but me made a snowman b/c i basically look like a snowman and can't bend down to maneuver the snow anyway. josh and my mom helped connor and i just took the pictures. they made an igloo--which connor called a snow house. they had snowball fights. and i'm convinced that josh gave connor a red bull b/c he was a MAJOR SPAZ! i was over talking with my mom, aunt elaine and laura, and i could hear connor squealing upstairs with josh. they were playing pool and, i think, eating straight sugar.

josh made most of the igloo. we would have had more time to play with it, but he worked on it for 45 stinkin' minutes. it had to be perfect. and apparently, houses made of snow aren't allowed to have any snow on the floor inside. seriously, i have never seen a high school guy so consumed with making something so perfect. he was sculpting it like he was making something worthy of the louvre. it was hilarious.

the sun was fabulously bright, so connor told bb he needed his glasses when we were leaving the house. too funny! it was pretty bright though. i think that's the thing that has made this hugely snowy winter not seem so bad.... we've had a lot of really nice sunny days around here. extremely unusual, but i'm not gonna wish them away...that's for sure.

connor made the mistake of standing still and josh buried him in snow. that snowball in his hands.....yeah, he had it for about 30 minutes and held onto it like it was a bar of gold.

when they were playing pool, josh took one of the chalks and chalked connor's nose. connor thought it was hilarious....but this was at the point of the afternoon that he was all hopped up on something..... red bull, sugar, gramma's cookies.... who knows.
