funny guy

i love the way connor thinks. i love when he tries to tell me what he thinks too. the best is when he is getting really excited, and he tells me--on tippy toes, with fists clenched, and eyebrows up--- "mommy! i be 'cited!!" i love when his brain is working faster than his mouth and he's trying so hard to get all the words out but only "and....and....and..." comes out. the other day a friend of nathan's came over to borrow some golf clubs for a trip and connor told him, "baby megan's cookin'." we jokingly say that to him all the time, and it's funny to hear him pick it up. (i sure hope we can decide 100% on this kid's name soon or connor is going to be SO messed up!)
one of my favorite things is that connor LOVES to sing. he sings all his favorite songs from sunday school. he'll just randomly break into song...coloring, playing blocks, kicking his soccer ball, sitting in his room reading...totally random, but i love it. i love how he calls his eyebrows "eye boogers". i think he got confused b/c one time i was cleaning the sleepies out of his eyes and i called them eye boogers. since then his eyebrows have officially been renamed. but one of my all time current favorites is the way he says hippopotamus. he has a few baby blankets with little characters sewn on them. they are sort of raised up from the rest of the blanket (no, i don't know the official sewing term for that.... :) he loves loves LOVES to rub them when he's sleeping, tired or resting (sound like a "feel thing" to anyone???...don't know what a feel thing is? don't worry i've got incriminating pictures and a post will tell that story later). when he asks for the hippopotamus he calls it his "hippy hammas". i absolutely LOVE this. i finally got it on video and i'm so glad. hope you get a kick out of it.
