stinkin' cute and stinkin' funny
nicole and ava came over yesterday to drop off a hat for the little man (she found some cute cheap cowboy hats for tonight), and they stayed to eat lunch too. well, all morning connor had been squealing...a favorite pastime. he was just in a very good mood. after lunch the kids were playing and connor started squealing again. at first ava just looked at him with the "V" eyebrows that her mother perfected so many years ago. you know the look. the "you are such a dork i can't believe i'm still acknowledging your pressence" with a furrowed brow look. that seemed to suffice at first. finally, she had had enough. connor sqealed and she threw her fisted hands toward the ground, turned and screamed back at him, "NO SCREAMING!!!!!" nicole and i were wheezing. it was probably one of the funniest things i've seen out of those two. then connor followed her around sqealing for another five minutes and she kept yelling right back, "NO SCREAMING!!" we tried and tried to get it on tape but to no avail. figures they would obey when we were trying to get them to do something funny. connor's rule is to ask for help instead of screaming and ava's rule is to not be bossy.
so a little later we were all sitting on connor's floor playing. one of the kids handed nic the play phone from connor's tool bench and she pretended to talk for a minute. after the kids had moved on nicole was still deep in conversation on the play phone.....of course, she was talking to me, but it was still funny when we both realized that she still had the phone up to her ear and was continuing to tell me a story. that really sent us rolling.
well, if you look at the comments from my last post you will see that my uncle paul has discovered my plot. i have a sneaking suspicion that someone tipped him off. *said in my best "dwight" voice* i assure you i WILL get to the bottom of this. if i have to take my case to the highest court of this land, justice WILL prevail.

a special valentine's treat

you eyeballin' my cookie, boy?

wanna know a secret?
(actually, i told her to give him a kiss and i snapped the picture right when she said "mwaa!")

oooh! that's a good one!

true to form....nic told her it was time to go so she grabbed nathan's hat and a 10 that was sitting on the table. in her defense it was nicole's $10, and whe asked what it was she only said, "paper". such a little klepto! even if she doesn't know what money is yet.

I love the Dwight reference. It reminded me of the Pam/Jim prank where he thinks he's being recruited by the CIA, and he goes to the roof to wait for the helicopter.
Love that pic where the little man is "oooohing!" I'm still trying to decide who he gets his expressive personality from...Mom or Dad...too close to call!!
ahhh - - -but will waldo find his name again two days in a row?? I admit, I'm impressed he commented!
Tina 2, the truth is that I read almost every word, you are truly a gifted writer. I just need pictures to keep up the macho image. No one wants a skippy dentist. Paul

that's true. you got to know both of us in the office, and at that point we were both usually being spaz-cases to try and unwind from the kids. :)
