yep. it's getting pretty hard. lounging by the pool. swimming with connor. reading a book. ahhh.....
no big plans for today. doesn't that sound great? :) just relaxing. i'm getting tired just thinking about all the hard work i have to do.....NOT!!! (remember that gem?)
oh, yeah, forgot to tell ya.....before i left i got my "get out of jury duty free" card. i was honestly a little concerned that the letter would show up while i was down here and i wouldn't know the outcome until it was a little late to make arrangements. but ap's 24th district court has a pretty fast response time. that i'll give them. on the other hand..... they took my letter on total good faith. i wrote that i was a stay at home mom of a 14 month baby, and my husband was currently traveling for work--unable to assist with our son. they bought it. it's totally true, of course, but i was a little surprised that they didn't ask for proof. susan had mentioned to me that she sent birth certificates and i thought, "aw, nuts! i should have sent a copy. hope that doesn't mess up the process." no soup. they didn't so much as blink. alllllright, sir.
well, i hate to break up this little party, but i've got to get some sun while the little man is snoozing. actually, he's in the process of singing himself to sleep. sounds like auntie nic, huh? yeah, nicole used to start really quiet singing in her "pretty voice" before you knew it all you could hear was "savior, while my heart is tender......" at the top of her lungs. then you'd hear dad, "NICOOOOLE!!" then it would be quiet for about 15 minutes, then back up again "here's my heart!" ahhh...childhood memories. but if you ask nicole to sing in her "pretty voice" i'm sure she will. she LOVES singing in her "pretty voice."
